According to officials with the central investigation agency, a computer belonging to Sisodia’s office was confiscated in January. Eventually, it was discovered that the computer had lost files and other data. It’s CBI such that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) could recover the erased files from the computer. The FSL has since provided them with a report and obtained the whole file that was removed from the computer.

    In addition to this, an IAS official turned approver against Sisodia and had his testimony recorded under section 164 of the CrPC was also brought to Sisodia’s attention. Sisodia left his position a day after his detention. Together with him, Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Health Minister who is currently incarcerated, also tendered his resignation.

    In the remand paper, the CBI said that Sisodia was a key player in the Delhi excise policy fraud.
