Shami took seven wickets in the first two Tests and will be raring to go after a well-deserved rest. With the gloves, KS Bharat was excellent in all three Tests; while he did drop a couple of catches on top-tier turners, it is difficult to have a perfect outing.
KS Bharat, on the other hand, has looked all at sea with the bat. He had a good cameo in the second Test in Delhi, but he has struggled otherwise. However, judging Bharat on his batting would be difficult because most Indian batters have struggled.

Ishan, who has regularly played domestic cricket for Jharkhand, has played on the turners. Australia’s Border Gavaskar Trophy series concludes with a match in Ahmedabad, and Steve Smith will captain the team once more.
