Playing XIs Named After Toss:In the 16th edition of the league, the playing XIs would be named after the toss. Previously, the captains of both teams would hand over their team sheets to the match referee before the toss. This would never happen again.
    Impact Player:The ‘Impact Player’ rule allows teams to substitute a player into the starting XI at any time during the game. The substitute player can bat, bowl, and field, but he or she cannot captain the team.
    DRS Calls for Wides and No-Balls: DRS calls for wides and no-balls will be made during the IPL 2023 season. The players would be able to challenge on-field umpires’ wide-ball and no-ball calls. 
    Wicket-keepers can now be penalised for making ‘unfair movements’ behind the stumps. It is considered a ‘unfair movement’ if a wicketkeeper shuffles before the batter hits the ball.
    source: India.comSlow Over-Rates Penalty: Slow over-rates by teams will now result in a penalty. A team must complete the 20-over quota in 90 minutes. If that does not happen, an extra player must be placed inside the 30-yard circle for each over bowled after the time limit has expired.
