Halkett, who has worked in Europe and is from South Africa, is expected to collaborate closely with his countryman Fulton. Interestingly, Halkett arrived in India as a player for the 2010 World Cup and returned as a player for the 2018 edition.
Tan, meanwhile, most recently served as Tennis Australia’s senior strength and conditioning coach, after previously working with Wheelchair Rugby Australia and for more than a decade at the NSW Institute of Sport.
Farry for the ladiesA bigger decision has been the appointment of former Canada head coach Anthony Farry as the analytical coach for the womenu2019s side. Farry took over the USA women’s team from India chief coach Janneke Schopman in 2020. Prior to that, he was in charge of Japan women, leading them to their first Asian Games title u2014 defeating India u2014 in 2018. All newcomers are expected to take over by the end of the month.
