While CSK won by eight wickets, Kohli and Dhoni engaged in an animated chat at the end of the match and ended up having a long conversation at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
In a viral video, both of them can be seen laughing and talking about a variety of topics. Chennai Super Kings came together just in time to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by eight runs in an Indian Premier League match that produced 444 runs on Monday.
Devon Conway smashed 83 off 45 balls, and Shivam Dube blazed to a 27-ball 52 as CSK posted an impressive 226 for six after being asked to bat first. In response, RCB finished on 218 for eight. Faf du Plessis (62 off 33 balls) and Glenn Maxwell (76 off 36 balls) gave CSK a scare until they arrived at the crease, sharing 126 runs for the third wicket to raise hopes of a famous win.
RCB got off to a bad start after losing Virat Kohli to an Akash Singh delivery. Akash could have had more success if Maheesh Theekshana hadn’t dropped a skier from Mahipal Lomror at mid-off.
Lomror, on the other hand, didn’t last long after being apprehended by Ruturaj Gaikwad at cover point. In the next over, Maxwell smashed Akash for two sixes while Du Plessis hit Despande for two fours and a six.
Du Plessis displayed his arsenal of strokes in the next over, and Akash bore the brunt of his wrath, conceding two boundaries and a six. Du Plessis and Maxwell were at their ruthless best, hitting fours and sixes at will and not sparing any CSK bowler.
While du Plessis reached his fifty in just 23 balls, Maxwell reached his half-century in 24 balls. The Australian then hit a six to help RCB reach 121 for two in 10 overs.

Theekshana had the last laugh when he tripped up Maxwell, who had hit a skier in search of a big shot, and MS Dhoni did the rest to end the dangerous partnership. To make matters worse for the RCB, du Plessis was out in the next over, giving Dhoni another skier off Moeen Ali.
Needing 58 off the final five overs, veteran Dinesh Karthik kept RCB in the hunt with some cheeky boundaries and was also given a life off Deshpande in the 17th over by Ruturaj Gaikwad. Tushar Deshpande (3/45) then dismissed Karthik, effectively ending RCB’s hopes.
