In the latest La Liga match, Barcelona took a huge step towards securing the league title with a crucial victory over Valencia. The match was evenly contested, but a late goal from left-back Jordi Alba proved to be the difference as Barcelona emerged 1-0 winners.
The win moved Barcelona to 83 points, four ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who faltered with a 2-2 draw against Villarreal. With just three matches remaining, Barcelona are now in the driving seat and are firm favorites to clinch the La Liga title.

Barcelona dominated possession for much of the game but found it difficult to break down a resolute Valencia defense. However, in the 86th minute, Alba pounced on a loose ball in the box to score the winner, sparking wild celebrations among the Barcelona faithful.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, suffered a setback in their pursuit of the title, as they were held to a draw by Villarreal. The visitors took an early lead through Gerard Moreno, but Real Madrid fought back with goals from Luka Modric and Karim Benzema. However, they were pegged back late on by Yeremi Pino’s strike and had to settle for a point.
With just three games remaining, Barcelona has a great chance to win their first La Liga title since 2019-20. They face Levante, Celta Vigo, and Real Valladolid in their final three matches and will be confident of securing maximum points. Real Madrid, on the other hand, face Granada, Athletic Bilbao, and Villarreal, and will need to win all their remaining games and hope for Barcelona to drop points if they are to have any chance of winning the title.
