Near the location, a “abusive” note addressed to the Israeli Ambassador was discovered. It is believed to be associated with a group called “Sir Allah Resistance” because the letter contains references to Zionists, Palestine, and Gaza.

The event has caused India to increase security in the vicinity of the embassy and Jewish establishments in the Capital, and the National Investigation Agency is investigating it. A blast outside the embassy in 2021 caused damage to multiple cars; the Quds Force, Iran’s international branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, was suspected of carrying out the attack.

In this context, the Israeli strike that killed a Quds commander in Syria on Monday becomes extremely significant. India and other nations with sizable Muslim populations should be on the lookout for efforts to incite anti-Israel sentiment and incite violence.

Despite voting in favor of a recent UN resolution calling for an urgent humanitarian truce in Gaza, New Delhi maintains tight connections with Tel Aviv; the US and Israel were among the few nations to vote against the resolution.

India and the Arab world have solid links as well. The strong rapport between the two leaders is demonstrated by the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman over the phone about the West Asia problem. West Asian high stakes are driving India’s practical diplomacy.

Although nonviolent demonstrations demanding an end to the Gaza conflict are common, New Delhi cannot afford to allow agitators to profit from the Israel-Palestine conflict. India needs to make it very clear that such malicious uses of its territory will not be permitted. India must simultaneously apply more pressure to Israel in order to stop the ongoing killing of defenceless Palestinians.
