Late last month, the JD(U) president made one of his famous U-turns and broke away from the Mahagathbandhan, which is made up of the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), to once more form an alliance with the BJP.
Another blow to Lalu Yadav’s RJD came when three of its MLAs defected before the vote of confidence. The Congress and the RJD are both members of the Opposition coalition INDIA, which is in terrible shape throughout the nation, not just in Bihar.

Veteran Congressman and former chief minister Ashok Chavan has joined the BJP in Maharashtra. Following the resignation of former MP Milind Deora last month, this is the grand old party’s second significant setback in the state. Chavan is most likely one of the Maharashtra-born BJP candidates for the Rajya Sabha.
The Congress is unable to stop INDIA from losing ground in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls since it is too busy battling its own problems. The bloc is disintegrating faster every day. It was established last year to provide the electorate with a strong alternative to the NDA.

Days after the Central Government awarded the Bharat Ratna to party chief Jayant Chaudhary’s grandfather, former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh, the Rashtriya Lok Dal has decided to join the NDA. The Congress has failed to reach even a seat-sharing agreement with the Trinamool Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party in West Bengal and Punjab, respectively, while the BJP is forming and breaking coalitions with equal ease. The AAP is unilaterally giving the Congress only one Delhi seat. India won’t have a chance if the Congress lets things go out of hand.
