To capture four or five cities with comparable fortifications, Russia will still require a significant military outlay. It is improbable that the West will accept the Russian advance as inevitable and might even escalate the conflict.

As stated by Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, India will gladly settle disputes but won’t initiate any of them on its own. India had recognized the West’s strategic intentions against Russia through the moral posturing it had adopted early in the conflict.
Since the outset, New Delhi has maintained that diplomacy and conversation should take precedence over violence as a solution. Essentially, India will be satisfied with a solution that takes into account the fears of Europe, Russia, and Ukraine rather than seeing one party lose. But in contrast to what the West believes, India has avoided taking sides and has instead taken a proactive neutral stance.
