This change demonstrates our democracy’s dynamic instability while also highlighting their political savvy. Thanks to the TDP’s outstanding success in Andhra Pradesh—which saw them win 16 LS seats—and the BJP’s inability to win a majority, Naidu has gained significant traction.
His partnership with the BJP and Janasena represents both his long-term popularity with voters and his deliberate comeback. In Andhra Pradesh, the NDA easily won both the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, winning 164 Assembly seats and 21 parliamentary seats.

It is admirable that he has returned to prominence and now holds the title of king within the state. Naidu became known as the “CEO of Andhra Pradesh” during his time as chief minister from 1995 to 2004 because of his tech-driven vision and commitment to economic changes.
Naidu then made an amazing return to the Opposition in 2014 following ten years, but the political environment remained difficult. His partnership with the BJP did not last long, as the TDP was soundly defeated in the 2019 elections. To make matters worse, his 52-day jail sentence in a skill development scam last year appeared to be the end of his political career.

Currently, with a majority escaping the BJP at the Centre, intense negotiations are underway to secure the necessary number of votes, and leaders of the INDIA group are supposedly courting Naidu. But for the time being, he has reiterated his loyalty to the NDA. India would be keenly monitoring Naidu’s actions as a middleman. They will surely play a significant role in deciding the political course of the nation.
