A dispute has already arisen over the selection of seven-time MP Bhartruhari Mahtab as the pro tem Speaker, which disregarded the seniority of eight-time Congress member K Suresh.

Despite the shifting dynamics in the Lower House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made no indications of a concession in his statements prior to the commencement of the first Parliament session of his third term. “The new generation will not forget how the Constitution was scrapped by the Indira Gandhi government,” he remarked, referring to June 25 as the anniversary of the Emergency lasting 50 years.

Copies of the Constitution were held by opposition leaders as he approached to take the oath of office as an MP. According to Rahul Gandhi, the action was taken to demonstrate that PM Modi’s assault on the Constitution was unacceptable. The daggers are pulled tight.

The Prime Minister declared that his government would put in three times as much effort and produce three times as many outcomes in its third term. His message to the opposition was that people desired argument over drama or disruption, and substance over slogans.

It would be extremely disappointing for the INDIA bloc to not be able to make an impression given its size.It is imperative that the MPs be well-prepared and have done extensive research before posing an impactful and successful line of questions. The important thing is substance.

The Prime Minister shot back, saying he hoped the Opposition will live up to public expectations. That’s a valid point. The country’s gaze is focused equally on the opposition and the government. Both parties are being tested.
