The RSS has claimed that enforcing the ban would enhance the nation’s democratic system and accused previous (read: Congress) governments of using the initiative to pursue their own political agendas.

    The Congress, which is criticising the Center, claimed that the new directive will put public employees’ impartiality to the test.The BJP and the RSS are experiencing strained relations, especially in light of the saffron party’s failure to secure a majority in the Lok Sabha. Due to the BJP’s poor showing in the legislative elections, the Sangh high command has enough material on which to launch a barrage of criticism.

    RSS chief Indresh Kumar stated that Lord Ram had prevented a “arrogant” party that identified as “Ram Bhakt” from winning a majority, while Sangh spokesman Organiser said that the results of the election served as a “reality check” for BJP followers who had become overconfident. 

    When he spoke last week about how people want to be supermen and gods, RSS president Mohan Bhagwat reportedly made a reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Leaders of the Sangh have also made it clear that their group will not take the BJP lightly.For the first time in ten years, the BJP is reliant on allies, and it appears willing to compromise in order to maintain power.

    Next year marks the centennial of the RSS, and the ruling party is expected to go all out to placate Bhagwat and associates. The lifting of the restriction will aid in resolving some of the disagreements, but the government must address concerns and soothe fears regarding the decision’s potential impact on governance.
