Goa Police made a scathing revelation that the accused in the murder of Sonali Phogat confessed to spiking her drink with MDMA. During interrogation, the accused claimed that they mixed around 1.5 gm of MDMA in a bottle before the party. Sonali Phogat apparently drank from the bottle, the accused revealed to the Goa Police.According to Goa Police, two of Sonali Phogat’s staffers slipped the Haryana BJP politician a obnoxious chemical through her beverages at a party in a North Goa restaurant, which is what ultimately led to her death. Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh, the two suspects, have been detained and charged with murder. According to a senior police officer, the 42-year-old politician’s murder may have been motivated by commercial interest, and the two suspects were detained to prevent the risk of destroying evidence and manipulating the witnesses.
She had travelled to Goa on August 22 with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politician, along with Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh. Sonali Phogat, who originally gained notoriety on TikTok, was brought dead from her hotel on August 23 in the morning and sent to St Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa district. Doctors had previously stated that, on the surface, it appeared she had died of a heart attack.
However, in another interesting revelation the post-mortem examination found blunt force trauma on her body, prompting the Goa Police to file a murder case.
