In the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League, which will be contested in November of this year, former India bowler S Sreesanth will make a comeback to professional cricket, although this time as the head coach of the Bangla Tigers. Sreesanth joins as the new coach which also includes Nazmul Abedin Fahim as the assistant coach and Aftab Ahmed as the head coach. There is significant room to expand, according to Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury, the owner of the Tigers, with more players coming in from abroad.
Sreesanth’s inclusion in the squad this year underscores the importance of the Abu Dhabi T10 and the desirability of the event among top-tier athletes. This competition is drawing more and more foreign players, which enhances the excitement and offers local players a fantastic opportunity to observe and learn. The squad has never been more ready to win the title because of him, Chowdhury said.
Along with Shakib, some notable additions to the side include Sri Lanka’s Matheesha Pathirana, Evin Lewis of the West Indies, Collin Munro of New Zealand, and Mahamad Amir of Pakistan. After declaring his retirement from domestic cricket in March of this year, this will be Sreesanth’s first coaching assignment.
Even after being involved in such big controversies, do you think Sreesanth is the right pick to be a mentor?
