Williams isn’t putting herself under any undue pressure. With everything she’s accomplished in her career, including six US Open titles, Williams claims she doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone.
When asked how she beat the world number two, Williams replied, I’m a pretty good player. This is what I excel at: I enjoy a challenge and excel at rising to it. It’s really come together in the last couple of matches here in New York. I’m extremely competitive, so I’m just counting it as a bonus. I don’t have anything to prove, Serena Williams stated this.
