Cuttputlli, starring Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh, is now available on Disney Hotstar. The movie is reported to be a remake of the epic Tamil thriller Ratsasan. The location has been changed from Tamil Nadu to Kasauli. Akshay Kumar plays a police officer in his early thirties. Those who have seen both films have considered Cuttputtli to be unsatisfactory in certain ways. While Akshay Kumar’s film has more production qualities, the narration appears to be less compelling than Ratsasan’s. Furthermore, unlike in the Vishnu Vishal film, the villain lacks a clear backstory.
Some have stated that the filmmakers were aware of the film’s shortcomings and did not even consider releasing it in theatres. Furthermore, other netizens observed that it is far from an adaptation, and some sequences in the film appear to be fully copied and pasted. Furthermore, several features do not appear to be convincing. However, it appears that many who have not watched the original Ratsasan have enjoyed Cuttputlli. This is what Twitter users are saying…
The film has clearly elicited conflicting reviews. A well-crafted thriller is always worth a one-time viewing. Even though the finale is disappointing, the story may be followed all the way to the finish. Fans of Akshay Kumar may look forward to Ram Setu in Diwali. Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrat Bharucha also appear in the film.
