“Reaching the Rs 100 crore milestone is just the beginning now,” Khan stated confidently. “In today’s cinema, films are achieving monumental figures of Rs 400, 500, or even 600 crores. This trend isn’t limited to Bollywood; even regional films like Punjabi and Marathi cinema are hitting these numbers. The new benchmark should be Rs 1000 crore for a film”

Khan’s comments come at a time when the Indian film industry is witnessing unprecedented box office collections, driven by a resurgence of audiences returning to theaters post-pandemic. His remarks have sparked discussions among filmmakers and industry analysts about the evolving financial expectations and the future of box office succes

Salman Khan, often dubbed the ‘poster boy’ of the 100 crore club, has consistently delivered blockbuster hits that have crossed this mark. However, his latest statement suggests a shift in perspective, urging the industry to aim higher and redefine success in the context of current market dynamic

The trailer launch event, which saw Khan in attendance, also highlighted the growing collaboration between Bollywood and regional cinema. “Maujaan Hi Maujaan,” featuring Gippy Grewal, Binnu Dhillon, and Karamjit Anmol, is set to release on October 20th and has already garnered significant attention, partly due to Khan’s endorsement

As the industry gears up for the festive season, with Khan’s own “Tiger 3” slated for a Diwali release, his comments are likely to influence how upcoming films are marketed and perceived. The superstar’s vision of a Rs 1000 crore benchmark could very well set a new standard for success in Indian cinema
