Ranveer Singh recently came under scrutiny after displaying his daring side yet again by going naked for a magazine photoshoot. While he received a lot of love and support from fans and colleagues in the industry, some were offended by his images and even sought the Mumbai police to register a case against the actor. The Mumbai Police filed a FIR against him, and he was just summoned to give his statement about the crime.
During the same time, Ranveer Singh allegedly claimed that one of the photographs from the session that was shared online had been modified, but no further details have been revealed. According to ANI, in a statement recorded on August 29 in Mumbai during his questioning session, the actor said that one of the images had been tampered with.
Ranveer Singh took to Instagram to post photographs of himself sleeping naked on a carpet as part of a photoshoot for Paper Magazine. He also shared a few more photographs, one of which shows him sitting on the same carpet. Needless to say, the photographs caused quite a stir in the media.
A few days after the Instagram photo, a Mumbai-based NGO filed a complaint against Ranveer with the Chembur Police in Mumbai, alleging him of infringing on women’s feelings and undermining their modesty. Later, the police filed a FIR against Singh under sections 509, 292, and 294 of the Indian Penal Code, as well as section 67 A of the Information Technology Act.
Meanwhile, on the cinematic front, Ranveer Singh got multiple honours and prizes for his portrayal in the film ’83, which is based on India’s legendary World Cup victory in cricket. He portrayed former Indian captain Kapil Dev in the film. Recently, the actor was named the Most Loved Actor in South India by SIIMA.
