Mohammed Siraj has taken over for the injured Bumrah in India’s final two T20Is against the visiting South African team. Bumrah was ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup on Thursday due to a back stress fracture.
There are new issues with Jasprit Bumrah’s back. Despite his proclivity for injuries, he has always played in every IPL match. The BCCI and team management have taken good care of him and provided him with adequate rest. However, it remains to be seen whether the medical team was confident that he was fit to return, he added.
Kaneria also stated that India should have chosen Deepak Chahar for KL Rahul over Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Sanju Samson.
Kaneria lashed out at Pakistan’s middle order for their poor performance in the ongoing series against England, saying, If Babar and Rizwan stop scoring runs, Pakistan will be unable to win matches in the upcoming T20 World Cup. The middle order appears to have completely surrendered in the home series.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam reached 3000 runs in T20Is on Friday, joining India’s Virat Kohli as the joint-fastest player to do so, while also becoming only the fifth men’s player to do so. His 87 runs off 59 balls, however, were in vain as England ran wild over a hapless Pakistan bowling attack to chase down 170 runs and tie the series 3-3.
