Salman Khan startled everyone earlier this month when he announced Kisi Ka Bhai Kis Ki Jaan as an Eid 2023 release, and he also told the public that his ambitious Tiger 3 will now be released around the Diwali 2023 weekend. Following the news, there were numerous theories as to why the delay occurred. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that Tiger 3, starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, has been delayed due to VFX issues. According to a source, VFX artists all over the world are swamped with work as a result of the pandemic. What caused the Tiger 3 delay?Maneesh Sharma, Aditya Chopra, and the entire Tiger 3 team’s ambition is to produce a world-class action thriller starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi. The studio is clear: they do not want to compromise on the graphics of any of their tentpole projects, thus they took the decision to announce a revised release date for Tiger 3, allowing extra time for Tiger 3’s VFX. The action scenes are sophisticated, and they are thought to be working on one of the biggest action sequences ever for Tiger 3’s extended finale, which will be high on stunts and complex visuals, claimed a person close to the development.
When Aditya Chopra realised that the special effects would take time, he approached Salman and advised that he release Kisi Ka Bhai Ki Jaan on Eid, since fans would want to watch Salman during this festive season. When Tiger 3 VFX deliveries could not meet the timetables for an April release, Adi discussed it with Salman and decided it was preferable to postpone the film to Diwali. He also told Salman that he should fulfil his promise of an Eid release with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the source said, adding that Salman was game for this because he felt the delay of Tiger would grant him enough time to sit on the edit and post-production of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan rather than rushing through it.When will Tiger and Pathaan meet?Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has yet to film his Tiger 3 cameo. Shah Rukh Khan, like Salman in Pathaan, has an action-packed cameo in the film. He has yet to begin filming for the role, and the reunion of two of Indian cinema’s most recognised stars is now scheduled to take place after the release of Pathaan, depending on date availability. The sequence will be shot at YRF, and it will require considerable usage of VFX because the goal is to create a mega-action block. It would have been a race against the clock for Eid release, so it’s always best to provide an uncompromised product to the public, especially when the stakes are so high, the person noted.
