Prosecutors in Spain sought a two-year prison sentence for Neymar, a key member of Brazil’s World Cup team that will compete in Qatar next month, as well as a 10-million-euro ($9.7-million) fine.
    The charges were dropped at the end of a year-long legal battle over Neymar’s high-profile transfer to Europe.
    In 2017, he moved to Qatar-owned Paris Saint-Germain in a world record 222-million-euro transfer.Neymar was one of nine defendants facing corruption charges, including his parents and their N&N company, which manages his affairs.
