The ancient Sun Temple is located in Modhera, which is also the country’s first community to use solar power. The residents there are quite happy with the government’s move because it not only improves the ecology and climate but also helps them save a lot of money. Gadvi Kailashben, a widower 42 years old, relies on a meager income from agriculture to support her family. Her home now has solar panels thanks to the government, which has offered her much-needed relief from household costs.
In the past, before solar energy existed, I had to pay a significant sum for the electricity bill u2014 almost 2,000 rupees. However, since the solar panel installation, my electricity bill has increased.Source:- hindustantimes.com
In my home, solar energy now powers everything from the washing machine to the refrigerator. With the goal of using the Sun God (solar energy) to power the Sun Temple and the entire village, this project is the first of its kind in which rural residents are expected to become self-sufficient through green energy. I am currently not paying even one rupee in electricity bills.
