‘I’m not sure who is seeing Hardik as India’s captain and who is watching such fantasies. ‘Had Rohit Sharma…’: Former Pakistan captain

Due to the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, as well as other players such as Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya has been tasked with leading the team. 
The all-rounder has already been mentioned as a possible replacement for Rohit as T20I captain, though the BCCI has yet to make an official announcement on the matter. Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt, on the other hand, was taken aback by India’s desire to change their captain.
Hardik has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Rohit as India’s captain since winning the IPL title with Gujarat Titans earlier this year. And, in the aftermath of India’s heartbreaking T20 World Cup campaign in Australia, veterans and experts have urged the BCCI to consider Hardik as the new captain.
Butt, speaking on his YouTube channel, admitted that Hardik is talented and has had success in the IPL, but believes that Rohit has done nothing wrong as India’s captain. He believes that if Rohit had received a couple of high marks, the discussion would not have taken place regardless of the results.
I’m not sure who sees him as captain or who is watching such fantasies. He possesses talent and has achieved success in the IPL. However, Rohit Sharma has been successful in the IPL five to six times. 
People would not be talking about making this change at the top if he had performed well in a couple of matches (in the T20 World Cup 2022) He stated.
People in the Asian subcontinent start talking about such drastic and large changes fairly quickly. Not all of them, but quite a few, who most likely have no idea how these things work. People sometimes say, ‘change the captain,’ just to express their opinion, He continued.
Butt went on to say that India should not make a decision based solely on their loss in the T20 World Cup.
