This triggered a new controversy over the movie on social media.Vivek Agnihotri reacted to this in a very strong manner by saying u201cThis is nothing new for me because these kinds of words have been used by terrorist organisations and urban naxals, and those supporting u2018Bharat ke tukde tukdeu2019. But what is surprising is that on the stage of an event organised by the Government of India, this narrative by terrorists wanting to separate Kashmir from India was supported.u201d
Also mentioning about how he collected the data Vivek Agnihotri said that he surveyed 700 people before making this film are they all spreading propaganda. He said u201cWho are these people who always stand against India? This film was made after interviewing 700 people, whose family and kins were killed, gang-raped and cut in halves. Are those 700 people spreading propaganda and talking vulgar?u201dIn the end he said clearly to public if anyone who could find even a single scene false in whole movie, he will leave the film industry. u201cI challenge all intellectuals, urban naxals and even the Israeli filmmaker who made these remarks to prove if any scene, dialogue or event shown in the film is false. If they do it, then I will quit filmmaking.u201dNadav made his personal remarks in the closing ceremony when asked for and one could have any personal opinion regarding anything it could be even a film. The thing to note here is that Vivek Agnihotri is comparing Nadav Lapid again and again with urban naxals and other intellectuals but it was completely a personal opinion, one could have any opinion regarding to a film will he or she then be considered as a territorist. The Kashmir files can be a good and purely well researched movie but it doesn’t mean who doesn’t like it is a territorist or urban naxals.Comment your thoughts below.
