England again succumbs in pressure

 England went on to semi-finals in the 2018 world cup but tasted defeat from that world cup’s runner ups-Croatia ,they also made it to the Euro 2020 finals but again lost to Italy on penalties. This year again England lost a match in which they didn’t play bad.
England were not outplayed. They did not retreat. Instead they were a better team ,they lost a tie which they deserved to win and which will sear into Harry Kane, the talisman of his team- Harry Kane of all people – who missed the penalty kick that would have forced extra-time; Kane missed the penalty that would have confirmed him as Englandu2019s all-time record scorer, with 54 goals, ahead of Wayne Rooney. In the end Gareth Southgate wrapped his arms around Kane but he was in another place, staring into the distance. It felt incredibly cruel after a fine performance laced with controversy, also, with a series of decisions by Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio going against England.They should have had a foul in the build-up to Franceu2019s first goal, they should have had another penalty, they should have had played against 10-men with Theo Hernandez somehow not sent off after conceding the second spot-kick. Should have. Could have. Would have. But in the end luck was not on their side.

Hugo Lloris-Captain of the French team, was also a key for them to advance in the semi finals.Following their defeat, England departed their hotel in Qatar at about 12:30pm local time and are expected to land in the UK later on Sunday.
