Rocky Singh, a TV host and author, tweeted a picture of the busy security line at the T3 terminal this morning at 5.30 a.m.
He said, Welcome to HELL. It took 35 minutes to enter the airport, 25 minutes in a relatively empty Vistara, and now… the mother of all security queues… ! SECURITY All of you who enter her, give up hope.Another user described the airport in a similar way, saying, I have been through hell.Someone likened the airport to the chaotic Sarojini Nagar market in Delhi. The workers, according to a user, are not at all helpful. They are heartless and won’t assist the arriving passengers. They offer nebulous and incorrect advice.Another person tagged Jyotiraditya Scindia, minister of civil aviation, and added, Utter disarray and apathy. One traveller urged others to depart from T3 at least five hours prior to their trip.
A person by the name of Prasid Banerjee wrote, The boarding pass scanners don’t function, and I didn’t dare check the FR bit. It’s total mayhem!Another witness claimed that there were insufficient crowd control measures in place and that people were yelling at one another at the security checkpoints. One passenger said that the check-in counters were also backed up. They said, Same carousel for various aircrafts. baggage scattered all over. There is nowhere to walk and find your possessions. No carts. In order to reduce congestion at the Delhi airport, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has developed a four-point plan. The strategy calls for fewer aircraft at peak times and extra security checkpoints at the airport.According to the civil aviation ministry, the number of daily domestic passengers has now surpassed even the pre-COVID levels of roughly 4,07,000 per day.The peak season is currently underway, according to Scindia. The truth is that before Covid, our daily peak domestic passenger numbers were around 4,07,000, and on Monday, we surpassed that mark by reaching 413,000.Let us know your views.
