So one could say that it may be because state may be ruled by two different parties, right? It is also not right as recent clashes between Maharashtra and Karnataka states have BJP ally or BJP itself ruling the state.
The recent clashes occur at Belagavi district and some other villages as well which is now in Karnataka but there are Marathi speaking people in these districts as well. And hence the dispute is between the state from long period of time. This dispute is now escalated. On this issue Sanjay Raut said that The struggle of the Marathi-speaking population in Belagavi and nearby areas who were included in Karnataka against their wishes during the reorganisation of states, cannot be crushed cruelly, .PM Modi mediates in the Russia-Ukraine war, but turns a blind eye to the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute. This is not a sign of a good politician, he added.
Instead of expecting the Supreme Court to redirect the case to parliament, what is the harm if parliament finds a solution to this at the earliest, he suggested. It is clear that Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is weak to confront Bommai’s aggressive stand of claiming areas of Maharashtra, he said. However Amit Shah held up a meeting with both the chief minister and the decision was taken to maintain the status quo of the border. Not only this state we have seen border conflict between other states as well Assam-Mizoram Haryana-Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh-Himachal Pradesh, Assam-Arunachal Pradesh, Assam-Nagaland, Assam-Meghalaya. What do you think how can center government solve this issue?
