In his letter to Rahul Gandhi and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, he urged proper guidelines to be followed to prevent a COVID situation. He has written this letter in keeping with the public health emergency situation. He also urges them to stop the yatra if the protocols are not being followed.

A rise in cases is also seen in Japan, the US, South Korea, and Brazil.In China, COVID cases are rising after the Chinese government adopted the draconian zero COVID case policy.Most people in China, due to the zero-covid policy and lockdowns, didn’t get affected by the virus and thus have no immunity to fight the disease.Mansukh Mandaviya, the health minister, in his letter advised the use of face masks and sanitizers in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Only vaccinated people should join the yatra. The health ministry advised all the states and UTs amid the global surge in COVID cases.
The focus of the centre will be on the 5-fold strategy of test, track, treat, and vaccinate, and adherence to COVID-appropriate behaviour.
