50-year-old South Korean, Shin Byeong Moon, man died after falling 50 feet to the ground while paragliding in Gujratu2019s Mehsana district. In the other a 30-year-old tourist, Suraj Sanjay Shah, from Maharashtra fell to his death during, paragliding in the Dobhi area of Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh, news agency PTI reported.
    Shin Byeong Moon’s friends rushed him in a semi-conscious state to a private hospital, where he died during treatment, according to PTI. According to doctors, the man suffered a cardiac arrest due to the shock of falling.Shin was on a trip to Vadodara. He and his Korean friend were visiting their acquaintance, who is into paragliding, at Visatpura village near Kadi town. On Saturday evening, Shin and his Korean friend went paragliding, Patel said.A case of accidental death was registered at Kadi police station and the victim’s relatives and friends in Vadodara and the Korean Embassy were informed about the incident, he said.A process was underway to send the man’s mortal remains to his home country, the official said. The state’s High Court in January of this year outlawed all adventure sports in Himachal Pradesh, where Suraj Sanjay Shah died, due to a number of tandem paragliding-related deaths and injuries. After a 12-year-old Bengaluru child lost his life in an accident close to the Bir Billing paragliding spot, the court issued its order.A technical committee is to be established by the court to examine the locations of the adventurous activity venues. The majority of the equipment was discovered to be unapproved by the technical committee, and many operators’ registrations were flawed. In April, only those operators who could meet the necessary conditions were allowed.
