Wakefit.co intends to add a few more locations in important cities including Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The stores will be carefully placed in locations with a high density of furniture retailers to encourage organic foot traffic. The stores are envisioned as giant retail stores with an average size of 3,000 sq.ft.
The growth occurs as Wakefit.co completes its sixth year in business and reports sales of Rs 416 crore for FY21. The recently opened retail locations will use an omnichannel business strategy where customers can make in-person purchases as well as online orders. The physical boutiques, which feature a lived-in concept and a minimalist and stylish design, will showcase a total of 500 SKUs from Wakefit.co’s extensive furniture and home solutions range, which is a part of the company’s product portfolio.
With the opening of our first few offline retail outlets, we want to further our ambition of being the most adored home solutions brand in India, stated Vishal Khandelwal, Head of Retail at Wakefit.co. We have been steadily adding more products to our portfolio while increasing at a rate of 2.5 to 3x annually. The furniture portion of Wakefit.co currently accounts for around 23% of our monthly revenues, and the offline retail expansion comes as we are expanding quickly.Share your views in the comment section.
