Additionally, Shah proclaimed that the BJP would retake power on its own. He resumed his criticism of the Congress and JD(S), claiming they were of the same stock, and ruled out any partnership with anyone. Prime Minister Modi, who has improved Ayodhya, Kashi, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, is on the one hand. On the other hand, some individuals exalt Tipu. The two options are presented to the state’s residents, he said.
Shah continued by saying that while the BJP was relying on its organisation in the state, the Congress was looking to the tukde tukde gang for support. Karnataka residents must choose between supporting the nation’s nationalists and siding with those who want it to fall apart, he said.
Shah pledged to give the BJP one term with full majority and promised to abolish casteism, family politics, and corruption in the state. A patriotic government will be formed, He denied rumours that the fight in Karnataka would be a triangular one and insisted that it would be a straight fight (between the BJP and Congress). He asserted that while the two parties may have been at odds before the election, they would easily come to an agreement afterward to keep the BJP out. A vote for the JD(S) is a vote for the Congress, he remarked.

The Union minister used the 2018 Assembly elections as an example, in which the BJP overthrew the Congress and JD(S)-led post-election coalition and administration. Shah claimed that JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy had gone and sat in the Congress’s lap. He remarked that parties who obtain 30-35 seats and use blackmail should not be permitted to remain for too long, taking a shot at the JD(S). Their debts must be paid off quickly.
Tipu Sultan was regarded as the Tiger of Mysore who bravely fought the British before the BJP painted him as basically a Muslim monarch and accused him of ordering the murder of Hindus in the Kodagu and Mandya regions. In actuality, BJP officials including B S Yediyurappa, Jagadish Shettar, R Ashok, and P C Mohan have previously been caught showing off a headpiece and sword similar to Tipu’s.
However, the BJP distanced itself from Tipu after 2014 as its harsh lines grew in the wake of Narendra Modi’s ascent and now leaves it to chance to criticise the opposition over the matter. The declaration of a Tipu Jayanthi by the Siddaramaiah-led Congress administration also handed it a weapon to use against the party.
Since the BJP overthrew the Congress as the state’s dominant party, Tipu Jayanthi is not performed; nonetheless, the B R Bommai administration recently renamed two ceremonies that Tipu instituted in well-known temples during his rule: Salam Arathi and Deevatige Salaam. Nalin Kumar Kateel, the state president of the BJP, addressed the party conference and announced two campaigns taking place in the upcoming week: Booth Vijay Abhiyan from January 2 to 12 and Vijay Sankalp Abhiyaan from January 21 to 29.
