Additionally, Shah proclaimed that the BJP would retake power on its own. The Union minister used the 2018 Assembly elections as an example, in which the BJP overthrew the Congress and JD(S)-led post-election coalition and administration. Shah claimed that JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy had gone and sat in the Congress’s lap. He remarked that parties who obtain 30-35 seats and use blackmail should not be permitted to remain for too long, taking a shot at the JD(S). Their debts must be paid off quickly.
