A key step in the hit-and-run case in Delhi occurred on Tuesday when the police located the victim’s friend and pillion rider and obtained her statement. The police learned during their inquiry on Monday that 20-year-old Anjali Singh was riding her scooter with a female passenger after being hit by a car and being dragged for more than 10 km in Outer Delhi. The companion, according to the authorities, fled the scene out of terror after the collision caused just minor injuries.
    The girl claimed that she was unharmed and that she had departed after the incident. We located her and spoke with a witness. She is being helpful, and her statement has been written down. With this, the investigation will be aided. According to Sagar Preet Hooda, the Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), We are looking into the situation from several sides.On January 1, Singh was on her way home when a Baleno, driven by five guys in their 20s, struck her and dragged her for about an hour from Outer Delhi to Rohini, as the accused continued to make rounds in Kanjhawala. 
    According to a person familiar with the inquiry, We discovered that Anjali wasn’t alone that night while tracing the path followed by the deceased and accused. She had a female companion with her. Together, they rode her scooter out of the office. The friend was injured at the time of the occurrence, but she escaped the scene. She didn’t call the police or report this.
    The body is seen driving the automobile on the streets in CCTV footage taken along the way. An hour after the collision, a video also captures the car making a U-turn while the body is still underneath it. Two hours following the incident, Singh’s body was discovered. One awaits the postmortem report.
