The twins identified as Sumer Singh and Sohan Singh were 26-years old and lived in Surat and Jaipur, respectively, i.e., 900 kms away from each other. In a tragic accident, Sumer Singh fell from a terrace in Surat on Wednesday night while talking on his phone. He had a fatal fall and lost his life. Strangely, his brother Sohan Singh slipped and fell in a water tank early on Thursday. He had returned home after hearing about his twin’s death and died just hours after his brother. They were cremated together on the same pyre in their village Saarno ka Tala on Thursday. This marked a sad ending to the happy coincidence of the twins’ birth. Their family was in deep despair.Upon investigation, it came to be known that Sumer was working in Gujarat’s textile city and Sohan was preparing for the grade 2 teacher recruitment test in Jaipur. Their family mentioned that the brothers among all the four siblings were the closest. Sumer was not a bright student but always encouraged Sohan to study well. He had moved to Surat to earn properly and help his brother get a job as a teacher.SHO Surendra Singh of Sindhari police station in Barmer said, We aren’t ruling out suicide in the second case.
