Virat Kohli has been removed from his ODI captaincy. The reason is that the Indians split his captaincy concept does not work in his cricket. However, Rohit leads the team in testing and ODI, while Hardik is in charge of the T20I team.
Dravid dodged the question, saying he wasn’t sure if India had taken a split captain, adding that it was a question best suited to the selectors.
It’s not something I know of. It’s a question you should ask the selectors, but I don’t think so right now, Rahul Dravid said at the post-match press conference.
Dravid’s comments angered his Indian cricket fans on social media, criticizing Dravid for not knowing what was going on in Indian cricket. Few even questioned his decision to take frequent breaks.
In Dravid’s defense, he was only trying to avoid unnecessary controversy by making a statement about something that had not yet been officially announced.
Pandya said he will manage India in at least one form but will respect the decision of the team manager until announced by the Indian Cricket Board.
