According to a senior police officer, so far, at least 14 individuals who were buried under the debris of the Aliyah Apartments in the Hazratganj neighborhood have been rescued and sent to a hospital. Begum Haider, 75, and Uzma Talha, 35, the mother and wife of Samajwadi Party (SP) national spokesperson Abbas Haider, have been identified as the deceased women.

    After an overnight rescue operation involving personnel from the NDRF, SDRF, police, and fire brigade, both women were extricated from the rubble and sent to the Lucknow civic hospital on Wednesday morning. Begum Haider passed away while receiving treatment, but her daughter-in-law was declared dead by the hospital.Dr. Anil Ojha, director of the Lucknow civil hospital, said, She (Uzma Talha) fell away before we could do anything.According to Lucknow police commissioner SB Shiradkar, a first information report (FIR) was filed at the Hazratganj police station against three individuals in connection with the case.Nawajish Shahid, Mohammad Tariq, and Fahad Yazdan of Yazdan Developer are the subjects of an FIR, according to Shiradkar. The official added that Nawajish Shahid, the son of SP lawmaker and former minister Shahid Manzoor, was taken from Meerut to Lucknow and then detained.Shiradkar stated that several teams have been established to apprehend the other two accused, who have fled.The apartment was built on the city’s Prag Narayan Road in the 2009u20132010 time period by the Yazdan developer, the same builder whose illegally under-construction flat there was demolished by the Lucknow Development Authority in December of the previous year. Three members of a committee appointed by the chief minister will provide their findings in a week, according to Sharadkar.The officer stated that the committee, which is made up of divisional commissioner Roshan Jacob, Lucknow joint police commissioner Piyush Mordia, and the PWD chief engineer, has been tasked with determining who is responsible for the disaster.
