Alaya Apartment building in the Hazratganj area of Lucknow reportedly collapsed on 26th January, Thursday. This sudden incident forces one to think about the terrible condition the building might’ve been in. An FIR has been lodged because of the questionable quality of the structure and a woman’s body has been found while removing the debris at the site.This building collapse has caused four casualties and 16 people have been rescued. Among these 16, there is also a 6 year old boy named Mustafa, who protected himself in this tough situation by recollecting a tip he had seen in the cartoon ‘Doraemon’.
I was terrified but I recalled an episode of the cartoon show ‘Doraemon’ in which Nobita was taught about protecting himself during an earthquake by taking shelter in the corners or under the bed. Without wasting a second, I took shelter under the bed, said the little boy.He lost his mother and grandmother in the building collapse. His father and grandfather were not at home according to reports. He remembers his mother screaming and running and everything becoming dark thereafter.Rescue operations are still on the go.
