The draw for the 17-team continental event took place on Tuesday at the Dubai Sports Council, where Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu was present as the Guest of Honour.
    China, Korea, Singapore, and Uzbekistan make up Group A. Group C includes Indonesia, Thailand, Bahrain, Syria, and Lebanon, while Group D includes Japan, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, and Pakistan.
    The top four seeded teams are China, Japan, Indonesia, and Malaysia. All 17 teams are split into four groups of four countries each, and one group of five, and compete in a Round Robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the knockout stage.
    The results of two singles and three doubles matches in each tie group will determine the winner. During the Group stage, each tie’s five matches must be played. Each tie in the Knockout stage must be broken when it is decided.
    After the final match of the Group Stage, a draw for the knockout stage will be made.

In the most recent edition of the Championship, held in 2019, India failed to advance beyond the group stage. The Covid-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2021 edition.
