The effect of this will be left to the BCI as to whether the AIBE is to be held pre- or post-enrolment, the bench, which also included Justices Sanjiv Khanna, A.S. Oka, Vikram Nath, and J.K. Maheshwari, stated.

    The Bar Council of India discussed and approved the All India Bar Examination at its meeting on April 30, 2010, and ruled that all law students graduating in the academic year beginning in 2009u20132010 would be required to take the exam. Candidates may apply to take the exam at any time.
