More of the oceans are now green than there is land on the planet as a whole. In comparison to other locations, the oceanic areas close to the equator have become greener. The findings were based on information gathered by scientists from several nations. Plankton, a common marine organism, is more prevalent now, which is why the color has changed. Source: DIVE Magazine
The heat brought on by global warming is thought to be the source of the alterations. About 90% of the heat held by greenhouse gases is absorbed by the oceans, and as they begin to warm, both the sea and the land will suffer greatly as a result. Because of the glaciers’ melting, sea levels are already increasing.
This causes a drop in ocean oxygen levels and a significant amount of fish mortality. Scientists claim that it is getting harder for the planet to maintain stable levels of energy entering and leaving its system.
Different manifestations of this are occurring, and neither the land nor the water will be spared from its effects. Everyone will be impacted at some point in the most unexpected manner. The experts who have been in charge of the research on ocean color have stated that it is alarming to really watch it happening in real life. And these alterations are compatible with climate changes brought on by humans.

The effects of the color change on marine ecosystems have not yet been thoroughly investigated. However, it is obvious that it won’t be advantageous. This is so because there are more living forms in the oceans than on land, and the health of the oceans has a significant impact on life on land.
The marine food chain cannot live or survive without planktons. The ocean’s capacity to absorb carbon can alter as the plankton changes. The water becoming green is a warning sign. In their paper, the scientists stated: We hope people take this seriously. These changes are predicted by more than just mathematical models. The water is changing, and we can see it today.
