Pichai announced at a company-wide meeting that lesser bonuses would be given to senior vice presidents and above as part of cost-saving efforts.In general, bonuses and stock awards make up a sizable amount of the salary for tech workers.Recently, numerous tech firms worldwide have resorted to a range of cost-cutting measures as executives grapple with a worsening economic environment.The job cuts will be the largest round of layoffs ever at Google during a recession. However, according to an earlier report by news agency Bloomberg, the corporation stated it would offer severance packages that included vacation, incentive pay, and healthcare.
    Sundar Pichai, CEO of the firm, informed staff via email on Friday that the layoffs at Alphabet will affect workers everywhere and across the whole organization.Pichai asserted that he bears all responsibility for the decisions that brought us here, nonetheless.
