It seems that a filmmaker named Rajesh Raja has approached the Police Commissioner’s office in Chennai to file a case against the makers of the film, including director H Vinoth under charges of plagiarism.
    As per current reports, Rajesh Raja has claimed that at least 10 scenes from the Ajith Kumar starrer Valimai have been ripped off from his short film Thanga Sangili. In the same reports, it has also been mentioned that Raja attempted to resolve the matter by trying to approach the director of the film H Vinoth many times but hasnu2019t been able to do so. Considering this, the filmmaker decided to go through the legal route. A fact that cannot be overlooked is that the plagiarism charges come a year after the film hits the big screen. However, further details regarding the matter are currently kept under wraps.

    Talking about Valimai, the action thriller featured Ajith Kumar in the lead role along with Huma Qureshi, Gurbani Judge aka VJ Bani, and RX100 actor Karthikeya in pivotal roles. The film revolved around a copu2019s fight against the drug lord in an attempt to finish off his business and also save his brother who is a victim of the racket.
    The action sequences in the film were directed by Dhilip Subbarayan. With songs composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the filmu2019s score by Ghibran, the filmu2019s cinematography work was done by Nirav Shah and the editing was done by Vijay Velukutty. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film was released on February 24, 2022.
