According to the Russian foreign ministry, US engineers designed the missiles using intelligence data from US satellites and a nearby US spy drone. Around 150 people were injured in the attack on the Crimean city of Sevastopol, where residents were taking vacation time, leaving four people—two of them children—dead.
The event has caused the Russia-Ukraine war, which is already in its 29th month, to erupt into new hostilities. India was among the attendees who did not sign the unified communiqué. With all due candour, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis acknowledged that the majority of conference outcomes would not have been possible without Russian involvement. For a peaceful end to the ongoing conflict, Moscow and Kyiv must have a “sincere and practical engagement,” as proposed by New Delhi.
