President Joe Biden said, “It’s sick; this kind of violence has no place in society.” Trump’s opponents swiftly condemned the incident and demanded unity throughout the country. The already turbulent 2024 US presidential campaign takes a darker turn after the shooting incident at an electoral event.

The Republican candidate nearly lost the race when he was shot in the right ear while taking the stage. The Biden camp’s calculations are complicated by the violence. The President’s appalling performance in the debate and a slew of embarrassing moments have left the Democratic Party in disarray. There is resentment and mockery as a result of his unwillingness to give way to a younger contender.

Moving forward, there are now several risks associated with a re-election campaign that is solely focused on criticising Trump for his performance in public office and his personal behaviour. Because he just managed to elude an attempted murder.
