National Games runners-up for this year Bansod earned her ranking by defeating unseeded Adita Rao 13-21, 21-17, 22-22.
Rao got off to a good start by winning the first game. Bansod settled in and made a strong comeback in the second round.
Her experience and precise play gave her an advantage over Rao. The third and final game was a close one, with neither player giving up points easily.
