It highlighted a few important causes, including difficult service/working circumstances and unresolved personal/individual difficulties, that contributed to suicide and fratricide in the CAPFs and Assam Rifles. The paper highlights several key trigger points, including workplace humiliation, access to weapons, worry about disciplinary or legal action, and extended deployment in high-risk zones without any leave.

In order to identify vulnerable employees for stress management and psychological counselling, the task force stressed the importance of mental health awareness. It also suggested that the grievance redressal system be improved at every level.
Fratricide and suicide incidents have a negative effect on military morale and can affect how ready they are for fight. This thus provides an opening for India’s adversarial neighbours to sow discord and engage in mishaps.

Anti-national forces can also prey on disgruntled soldiers, and it is possible that they could reveal important information about military sites. To lessen the stress on the troops, everything must be tried. Their requests for leave should be handled sympathetically and quickly. Their complaints, such as those involving bullying by coworkers or harassment by supervisors, must be handled seriously.
As has been repeatedly seen, allowing these issues to fester can have terrible results. It’s also important to consider, if cautiously, the possibility of restricting access to guns because doing so may assist prevent a suicide or fratricide reaction.
