With a brace in last week’s victory at Marseille, the France superstar tied Edinson Cavani’s previous record mark of 200 goals. However, he went one better by scoring in stoppage time at the Parc des Princes.
Prior to Nantes’ comeback to tie the game, PSG had earlier blown a two-goal lead after goals from Lionel Messi and Jaouen Hadjam placed them in front.
Following the game, the club presented the 24-year-old Mbappe with a trophy to honour his accomplishment in an on-field ceremony.
Mbappe appeared to be forced to wait for his record when he scored at the very last second with a finish on the bend.
Prior to that, Lens’ chance to pass Marseille and move into second place was lost as they drew 1-1 with northern rivals Lille at home. Jonathan David of Canada scored the equaliser for Lille.
