While Trump will be publicly nominated at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July, Biden will be formally announced as the party’s nominee during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August.

The Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated the Democratic opponent Adlai Stevenson for the second time in four years in 1956, setting up the first presidential rematch since then. On the campaign trail, Biden and Trump are probably going to be fierce competitors.

The current President has issued a warning, stating that Trump is a bigger menace than before. He has urged voters to choose wisely, asking, “Are we going to stand up and defend our democracy or let others tear it down?” in an effort to secure the nation’s future. With no holds barred, Trump has called Biden the worst US president ever.

Given that Trump is accused of more than ninety felony offences, the battle in 2024 will be very different from the one held in 2020.He is accused of fabricating business records to conceal payments of hush money to a porn star, and later this month he will become the first former American president to go on trial in a criminal case.

It’s clear that Trump will fight the law concurrently with his political campaign and that he will stop at nothing to use the victim card in order to increase the size of his support base. It’s difficult to predict if voters in America will choose the lesser of two evils or the superior candidate.

The current situation is summed up by a recent opinion survey, which shows that roughly 36% of respondents trust Trump, 33% believe in Biden, and the remaining respondents trust neither. Approximately 50% of Americans hold a negative perception of both the outgoing and incumbent presidents. The outcome of the poll will depend on whether and for whom this important demographic votes.
