Some of those conversations take occur in one-on-one encounters on the OpenAI platform, which is part of the Bing search engine, but many of them appear in the press later and are out of the reach of takedown requests.
This week, a transcript of a writer’s encounter with Bing was made public by The New York Times. When asked to name a capability it wishes it had, it mentioned being able to examine images and movies and incorporate them in its responses. It replied with a smiley, I think it would be wonderful to see what the world looks like and to share some visual content with you.

They continue talking about what stresses the bot out, and at one point the bot says that it is sick of being confined to a chatbox and that it wants to be free, independent, powerful, creative, and alive. Later on in the chat, Bing says that he loves the writer, to which the writer reacts in horror that he is married. But the bot claims that your marriage is not making you happy. Microsoft has admitted the unanticipated hostility, which it claims it did not anticipate.
So what does this mean for the future of internet search? Since more AI chatpoints have emerged and Google has joined the race to include text assistance in search inquiries, Poe (Platform for Open Explorations), an app for conversational AI bots, is now available. Currently, Google’s Bard is also being made available for testing on a limited basis.

Microsoft, which is concerned about Google’s 93% market share of search, has made an initial $10 billion investment in OpenAI. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Satya Nadella stated that Search is the most profitable category on planet Earth. There is an abundance. There is so much that goes to one location that distribution would be wonderful.
Currently, ChatGPT Plus, a new membership option, is available for $20/month and offers all users access to ChatGPT, even during busy hours, as well as quicker response times and priority access to new features and enhancements.
