Ahead of the 2024 G20 summit, Brazil has launched the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, aiming to tackle the persistent global issues of food insecurity and extreme poverty. Spearheaded by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the alliance seeks to reintegrate these critical issues into the international agenda, highlighting the urgent need for cooperative, cross-border solutions to end hunger.

    The alliance aligns with Brazil’s domestic efforts to fight hunger, including strengthening social programs like Bolsa Família and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
