The break will be from February 14 until March 12. Joshi claims that A break would be taken from February 14 to March 12 to make a decision on the requests for grants from various states before the Standing Committee of the Parliament and to write a report on the problems involving several ministries. Prime minister Modi is currently holding a meeting with economists at NITI Aayog in presence of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. In the meeting, PM will seek their opinions and suggestions as well as assess the state of the Indian economy and its challenges, ahead of the Union Budget.
President Droupadi Murmu will address the joint Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha meeting in the Central Hall of Parliament to kick off the session. She will make her first speech to the two Houses of Parliament since being elevated to the top position in July of last year. Both Houses will also receive the Economic Survey on the opening day of the budget session. The first phase of the session is scheduled to last until February 10 and will begin on February 1 with the presentation of the Union Budget in Parliament by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

The new Parliament building will most likely be officially opened in March, when the House meets to discuss the Union Budget. According to sources who spoke to PTI, the second portion of the Budget session will likely take place in the new Parliament building. Officials advised that construction on the Parliament building was underway and would likely be finished by February. Nine bills were introduced in Lok Sabha during the previous session, and the lower House of Parliament passed seven of them.
Nine bills were passed by the Rajya Sabha, bringing the total number of bills passed by both Houses of Parliament to nine during the session. The two Houses discuss the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in great detail during the first half of the budget session before moving on to consider the Union Budget. The Finance Minister will respond to the debate on the union budget in addition to the Prime Minister’s response to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address.
During the second part of the Budget Session, the major focus would be the discussion on the demands for grants for various ministries apart from the government’s legislative agenda.
